Different Biomass incinerators throughout the nation have permitted burning of different items from the above list, and the one listed for Scottsburg has been permitted by the Area Planning Commission to burn wood only, yet in their Air Permit they apply to burn dozens of things, including the extremely hazardous construction and demolition debris!  Click Here to see their Air Permit.

According to their Air Permit Application, this Biomass incinerator will emit over 24 tons of hazardous chemicals into Scottsburg's air.    Click Here to see a list of the chemicals and what experts say they will do to you and your children.

Also, according to the Air Permit Application, this Biomass incinerator will emit 185 tons of particulate matter.  This is deadly!  Click here to see what the experts say about breathing particulate matter. Click on the following link to see what the EPA has to say about particle pollution.

This is a picture of a wood chip pile on the grounds of a biomass plant that a citizen from Milltown visited up in Michigan.  Do you want this in Scottsburg?  Look at the size of the pile compared to the truck delivering more chips.  40 acres of wood chips two stories tall!
